To all my tattoo lovers out there I have a public announcement! I reached out to an artist name Alex sent reference photos, asked pertinent questions, reviewed his portfolio and it was in that moment of truth that he’s the artist I want to execute a beautiful, detailed and fine line art that was placed on my calf. Thank you Greywash Ink and David, owner for having an exceptional artist with a light hand, detailed workmanship on staff. I’m definitely collecting more tattoos and I have an awesome clean studio with professional artists with various artistic skills that I can choose from. This tattoo studio has a chill/friendly atmosphere and is sanitary! My tattoo artist was George Barron and he was awesome to work with! He listened to all of my requests and made my tattoo better than I could imagine. In my experience, he had informed me of things that he thought would make my tattoo look better in the long run, so he keeps your best interest in mind, but will ultimately let you choose whether or not you take his advice; so no pressure with him. All in all, he is very customer oriented, thus making sure that the tattoo that he designs fully satisfies you. George is also very friendly and funny; really knows how to keep up a good conversation so that there won’t be an awkward silence for a whole couple of hours. I will definitely be going back to him for my next tattoos! ~ Erika O

I have been wanting to get a tattoo for some time, but really wasn’t sure where to go as I wanted it to be exceptional About a month ago, I was checking out at a pet store and couldn’t help to notice the amazing tattoos work on my checkout lady’s Arm. I asked who did her work, and she told me “David at Greywash’. At that moment I made the decision to go see David, and I am so glad I did. I sent David photos of what I had in mind. A few days later, he sent me drawing, and was way better than I had in mind. As of yesterday, my long awaited tattoo is finished, and it looks AMAZING! Thank you David and your friendly team. Needed my Tattoo fixed after 4 years of waiting and Brendon greeted us at the door and said yes I got ya. It's a decent size Tattaoo and he dived rite it and I have to say Wow! I was very impressed with his work, did way better work than the last guy had done on my arm. Basically fixed all his bad lines and made it 100 times better. Super nice guy and so was everyone else there! Going back in 2 weeks to have it done. Highly recommend this place, I stopped in at on other place before here and was kind of pushed out the door. So happy to have stopped in at Gray wash the price he charged me was way lower than I thought and the work he did was better than expected! So happy I met these guys! Great place! Mark (please don’t make me spell his last name, it’s nearly impossible) was awesome. I was a small walk in that was not going to be worth much, as far as time/money. However he never made it feel that way. He took SO MUCH care to completely nail the very small but important detail of my tattoo. I am so happy with it. It’s by far the most meaningful one I have and it’s perfect. The place was very clean and I saw great looking work going on at the station across from him as well, which shows that the place as a whole does great work. All signs of a top notch establishment. 10/10 would recommend and I will be going back for any other work I get…. ~ Melissa B

I went here to get a scar coverup and I was super excited when I got someone who specializes in water coloring tattooing so I knew he would be awesome! JAMES is super professional and the cleanest artist I've ever encountered. His line work is feeaking Awesome!! and the best part... *drum roll* He isnt heavy handed. In fact I'd go to him if your getting a big piece because I GUARANTEE it wont hurt even close to what normal tattoos would hurt. You always find the best artists are ones that. Love what they do. Had an excellent experience here. Came with my disable roommate who is in a wheelchair, and needless to say, I was nervous about how she would be looked at and treated. I've had some very negative experiences at tattoo shops - it seems quality customer service is definitely not customary in this industry - but Graywash Tattoo really stuck out in terms of how kind, accepting, knowledgable and friendly the staff/tattoo artists were. I personally had Christina as my tattoo artist and she did a great job. Sherri (not sure if I'm spelling it correctly), the receptionist, was also very warm and friendly. As long as I'm in Phoenix, I will not go anywhere else for tattoo work. Thank you! ~ Youren I

Had the pleasure of working with David for my Tattoo. From the time I setup my appointment with David I knew I was going to receive something special. The whole experience from walking into the store to the vibe of the store was Professional Clean and magical. David drew up my idea I presented and did a extreme enjoyable painless experience. Had awesome conversation and found my only go to store moving forward for more work. My appointment had also included 3 other family members who also got tattoos done and every artist we had contact with where beyond friendly professional and true artist in every way.. I’m proud to find my only place for Tattoos but also having the Honor of having work from David on my Arm.. LUCKY IS AMAZING. Ive never gotten a tattoo by him but from what i see his tattoos are so great. I went to him for percings. Usually when I go to get piercings the piercer takes their time and it hurts but he did it so quick I didn't feel pain. After he had pierced me he put the piece of jewelry in my lip and he was honest and said it didn't look good the way it was sticking out I agreed with him and he fix the problem and I am very happy with my piercing. So I went back to him today and he pierced my nose and gave me an industrial piercing and it looks so freaking good I am going to keep going back to him I am a happy customer. :) oh as you can see I definitely recommend him LOL ~ Maria M

They are a professional out for sure and very organized. Set your consultation appointment up online before you go in by reviewing each artist and selecting the artist you like for your consult. I had Dave Wands because I wanted a nice black and greywash piece and he's been excellent. Coordinating and communicating our appointments, chill dude to conversate with and he's got a TV set up to throw on a movie to make the time pass. As far as the ink work, excellent. Gives solid post care instruction that has kept my tattoo in good shape. I have a second appointment set 2 weeks from now to get it finished and I'll post a pic with the results. ~ Ross M

From the moment I entered the building, I was immediately helped and treated with kindness. I felt positively and very comfortable before my tattoo. I can not recommend or rave about this place enough! If I could rate this 10 stars, I would! There are NOT enough words to describe how talented the owner, David, is, and I can not wait to go back! I walked into the shop with a terribly faded tattoo, and he went above and beyond for me and created new designs for the tattoo to breathe new life. Leaving the shop, I couldn't be happier. STabitha aka "Stabby Tabby" has been my longtime personal piercer. Great jewelry selection, sterilized tools coming fresh out of the bag, professional behaviour, knows the industry like the back of her hand, cautious, steady hands, years of experience.... what more can I say? Simple ear piercing or something more exotic.... Stabby Tabby is my go to piercer in the Valley of the Sun. While I don't have any ink, I have seen more than a handful of great pieces being produced at GreyWash. The staff has proven friendly, professional, clean, and Covid compliant every time I have been in to the shop. ~ Public I

I recently got a tattoo from Greywash. What a cool place. Great atmosphere, great people; all great artists. I especially want to thank Sely for doing such a great job on my tattoo. He has a great eye for placement, alignment, and the overall look of the art. He took what I wanted and turned it into something I'm very proud of. He is very meticulous when doing the work, and he really focuses on making sure he does it as close to perfect as possible. Very clean shop. Friendly people with various styles of art. I've looked at each artists portfolio and they do some amazing tattoos. Jane did great matching tattoos on my wife and her sister. Reccomend that you get any of their artists work on something custom for you of you are looking for some great ink. Not recommended to try and get quotes over the phone. In person consultation is always the best for placement and to make sure you get what you want, it's also easier for the artist to see the area you are looking to get tattooed. George Barron has incredible attention to detail and is very professional! He did some small birds and a cross on my temple. People are constantly telling me that they normally despise face/head tattoos but that the one he gave to me is incredible with all the little details and the placement. You have to really trust a guy to let him tattoo your face, and I trust George. I have felt uncomfortable in the past with previous tattoo artists being too flirty or making the situation awkward and uncomfortable. George is very professional and focused on his work and will make you feel right at home. ~ Jess D

Started and finished my first sleeve tattoo with Bren and I couldn’t be more excited with how this tattoo turned out! He is friendly, on time, and a cool guy to have a conversation with while he’s doing your tattoo. He did amazing work on my tattoo and it turned out phenomenal. If you’re looking for a good tattoo shop and some really good artists this is the place to go to. It’s clean, the staff is friendly and the artwork within the shop is also really cool to look. I just want to say that David is an amazing human being! I have known David for soo long, and he has become this man that has come so far in life! I took my step son to get a tattoo fixed by David and my son absolutely loves it! David is so detail in his work and for him to own his own shop, I am so proud to say that i am his friend! My boyfriend & I came here with our friends on an out of state trip from MI, for us being our first time out here. We decided to plan a random tattoo trip & this was by far the best choice. David was our artist & he was great! Awesome atmosphere, artist, makes you comfortable, & will make sure you get exactly what you want! Will be seeing you in MI when you come out David! All the artists, as far as I’m concerned, are private contractors (meaning that they are kind of their own boss). This is perfectly fine but just know that if anything happens or something like that, David (the owner last I checked) is very professional and takes the clients opinions to heart. The bad reviews can be a little scary but don’t knock it till you tried it, I didn’t and now I have a badass tattoo and my girlfriend has a killer piercing. ~ Tatiana

Jane is amazing! I've been wanting to get a tattoo from her since January but that has to be put off. She is the best tattoo artist I've been to. Not only is her detail work amazing, she is a great person to just chat with. Made me forget I was getting a tattoo. Just felt like I was chatting with a friend. At one point I actually fell asleep, which is testament of her caring feel. I will definitely be back for more tattoos from her as soon as possible. ~ N8 A

Worked with David (owner) and the name is greywash for a reason, he takes time to truly have a lot of shading adding needed detail. He is very flexible, and His room is also great with a TV for the long sessions. Can't wait for the next session and complete the forearm and additional detail throughout! Other artists in the shop were above average friendliness, including wanting to check out the work. And their work also seemed solid as passing by. ~ Paul R

I came in, in need of a revamp of a tattoo that I was not happy with. David took my half sleeve and turned into a whole new masterpiece!!! David, you're awesome!!! That was my review 4 years ago. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, December 6th, 2021. went back to David for another piece.. small since was a tribute to a loved one I lost. I have now received 2 tattoos from Jane/Evgeniia with an upcoming appointment for number 3 and there will be many more to come. She has the most wonderful light touch. I have many tattoos and the ones from her hurt the least. Her style is so feminine and unique while still appealing to every gender and aesthetic. She is so fun to work with. I asked Bren to finish a tattoo that another artist had started because I loved his work and was confident that he knew the direction my piece should go in. Bren absolutely exceeded all of my expectations as to what this tattoo could be. Not only is he very talented, but he is also extremely professional. He killed it with the black, white, and color.
